Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 from 1937 to January 19, 2008) was an American theatre, film television, voice actress. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and then she was in films during the latter half of the 1950s. She then appeared in films that were notable, such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She later appeared in various television productions, often as a guest actor, and she was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of her were Jewish as were the children of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
